About Albany Coin Exchange
Ron J. Groszmann’s love for coin collecting started with Lincoln copper pennies gifted to him by his grandmother when he was 5 years old. Growing up he found a number of interesting coins that made him want to be a coin dealer. Shown in the photo is Ron’s favorite coin, a 1917 Double Die Penny. He was able to turn his passion into a business, founding Ron’s Coins (no longer operating) in El Cerrito in 1988.
Then, in 2006, he had the chance to take over the Albany Coin Exchange, now its permanent home. As a passionate collector, Ron loves helping other collectors. The Albany Coin Exchange is the go-to spot for old US gold, silver, and copper coins, along with collectible US paper money.
